The Arnold Block concept and its components—Bethel Works, Bethel Cooks, Bethel Moves, and Bethel Meets—was founded by four members of the Bethel community. The idea grew out of years of volunteer community-building work, including surveying their neighbors about what sorts of amenities people would most like to see in downtown Bethel. Responses included a place to gather in the evening for fun events and family-friendly programming, offices and meeting space for freelancers and small businesses, a certified commercial kitchen for caterers and boutique food producers, and workout classes for all ages. The Arnold Block brings all those ideas together under one roof.
